Bukkake and Gokkun

Bukkake and gokkun were introduced by the Japanese, who are nothing if not imaginative and creative in their depictions of pornography, especially of the sadomasochistic and bondage and discipline varieties.

Rabid feminists are not apt to like bukkake or gokkun. They tend to see even heterosexual penile-vaginal sex as somehow demeaning to women. Some even insist that it is a form or rape, even when both participants consent to the act, whether for the sake of pleasure or making babies. It is a twisted mind, indeed, that conceives of reproductive sex as somehow a violation of women who would become mothers. Perhaps if a turkey baster were to be substituted for a penis, the act of sexual intercourse being replaced with masturbation of a sort, extreme feminists would accept such a means of depositing sperm (even though it comes from a man) as acceptable. Perhaps not.

In any case, those feminists who are rabid enough to consider penetrative sex of any kind a form of rape aren't likely to endorse bukkake or gokkun. Some historians of pornography suggest that both bukkake and gokkun originated because of the Japanese government's censoring of the depiction of pubic hair and sexual penetration--at least involving a penis--in sex films. Denied the industry's prick-in-the-pussy staple, these historians contend, Japanese pornographers had to resort to more innovative means of entertaining their audiences. One result, allegedly, is tentacle sex, in which an octopus or a monster of some kind uses its tentacles as surrogate penises. These appendages, being tentacles instead of penises, are allowed to enter mouths, vaginas, and rectums, to go, it may be said, where, in Japanese porn, no man has gone before.

Two other results of the Japanese government's reticence toward the depiction of penetrative sex and pubic hair are bukkake and gokkun. So, you may be wondering, if you haven't seen these acts, just what the hell are bukkake and gokkun? Our friends at Wickedpedia, or Wikipedia, are, as always, helpful in defining such terms:
